The Great Outdoors

Kayak, canoe, paddleboat, or gather your friends in a rowboat to explore Lake of the Woods' beautiful waters. If you do not have a boat of your own, they are available for rent from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Featuring a beautiful array of unique Illinois flora, the Mabury Botanical Garden is a magnificent place to explore. Free to enter, you can escape to the tranquility of the garden as much as you please.

A paved 3.3-mile trail winds through grasslands and wooded areas before crossing the Lake of the Woods Covered Bridge. The scenic route is traveled by walkers, bikers, joggers, rollerbladers, and others.

HI-Tower attracts locals and out-of-towners to see the magnificent overlook from the tower's 6th story. The tower was completed in 1965, built with brick initially used to stabilize 18th-century boats.

Boasting an 18-hole golf course, nine-hole golf course, driving range, snack bar, beverage services, and a fully-stocked pro shop, Lake of the Woods Golf Course guarantees a fun time.

In the City
